" This educational project began as a vision, evolving from the initial proposal stage into a fully developed design concept. The key challenge was to create classrooms that felt calm, focused, and free from distractions. We carefully avoided harsh sunlight while ensuring each room received ample natural light. Layouts were reimagined so that classrooms neither faced each other nor opened excessively to external views, reducing visual interruptions but having a view to nature.The campus unfolds through a minimal earthy colour palette that reflects warmth and clarity."
To further enhance focus and privacy, we designed a custom brick jali — not readymade — which filters sunlight into soft, shifting patterns while shading the facade. This interplay of light and shadow adds character while maintaining comfort. Given the presence of a railway track behind the site, classrooms were strategically oriented in the opposite direction to block for unnecessary noise.
The result is a serene, functional, and visually balanced learning environment — one that reflects the school’s vision for mindful education and demonstrates how thoughtful design can shape the way students experience learning.
At A.M. Jain School, every block is designed with intention
From classroom orientation for focus and comfort to interiors shaped accessibility. We designed with inclusivity in mind, incorporating lifts, gentle ramps, and slopes to ensure ease of movement for differently-abled students. On the first floor, a unique lunch spot surrounds a central tree — reminiscent of a bonsai — creating a calm, shaded gathering space that brings nature.The masterplan includes a student canteen, an Multi-Purpose ground, and a refined admin building — all brought together with a soft, neutral palette that exudes elegance.The result is a serene,functional and inclusive learning environment.
